"Music is the universal language of mankind."
- Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Here at Maple and Spruce Music Academy, we believe that music can cross many divides. Whether it's age, culture, language, income, or general circumstances, music can be made together to bring joy and build community. Students and faculty alike are committed to making music together and sharing it with the community.
The String Family
Plus our voice and piano buddies!
It's the reason we use the name Maple and Spruce. What better way to honour the centuries old instruments we teach than to reference the two woods used in their creation,
The majority of string instruments are built with a spruce top and maple wood for the back and sides.
At Maple and Spruce we also appreciate our roots right here in the Forest City. Corny, we know! But this is our home, our community, and we're excited to grow together.
